Ivo Vergara, aka Ivotopia, was born in Santiago, Chile and has been an International Visual Artist for more than 27 years. Throughout his Artistic career he was a founding member of “Grupo Azar”, an international group of South American Artists from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile with exhibitions in Centro Cultural Recoleta, Buenos Aires, Argentina; Museum of Modern Art, Belo Horizonte; Sec Pompeia, Sao Paulo; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Centro Cultural Universidad Catolica, Santiago, Chile.
His first solo show in U.S was at the University of Oregon followed by shows in art galleries in Seattle, Portland, and Miami. Upon making his home base in Los Angeles, he has shown works in various galleries, including Lawrence Asher Gallery, Track 16 Gallery, 18th St. Art Center, and Architecture and Design Museum. He was selected to create a 4,500 square foot site specific installation at Art Basel Miami, combining light, sound, mural painting, and sculptures entitled “Cerebral Architecture”. He has also created large-scale mural paintings including a 10 story high waterfall for The Roosevelt Building in Downtown L.A (122 ft high x 30 ft wide) and “Venice Beach Sunset” (40 ft high x 110 ft wide) Venice Beach, CA.
He has created Public Mural commissions and Private Mural commissions in Germany, Spain, Greece, U.S.A. His Murals are been featured in Coldplay’s music video “True Love”, as well as in the TV series “Goliath” and the recent Warner Brothers movie “Barbie”. Currently he is working on several private mural commissions based in Los Angeles, U.S, Barcelona, and Andalusia, Spain.

2026 / 2027 he will be working on the biggest painting in the world 20,000-ft, Art installation, “The Human Painting Machine”, Performance, installation, sound, VR, video, music, sculpture, to be presented at international art fairs, and a production of a Documentary.
